Where is the official word?

Dear Fellow members

1. The official word on the conduct of the elections is yet to be out. Let me hear from the horse's mouth. If any one has it please forward me or circulate to all the members.

2. Without waiting for the official word, let me say two things. One that there is no shame when a warrior goes down fighting. Oh yes, one needs to be warrior. Second is in the form of a Joke. What is the best way to remember your anniversary? To forget it once. The second one applies to not only me but all of you who were looking forward to free and fair elections.

3.  We need to learn from our mistakes, regroup, take stock and ensure we do not repeat our mistakes.

Regards

Newer Developments

Dear Fellow Members

1. It is said that the success is sweeter when it comes after a day of hard work and when it is earned in exchange of sweat. There might be a debate on whether it could be called a success but certainly, we worked hard today morning 9.00 A.M. to 11.15 p.m. to prevent the unforseen and unexpected. It started in NOIDA and via Greater NOIDA wound up in Ghaziabad. Some of my colleagues would wind up 15 mins later. I appreciate the efforts put in by Mr. Rajbir Singh, Mr. Kailash Rustagi and Mr. Harbans Chhabra. We have done our hard work and am confident that our hard it shall get appreciated.

2. I estimate that nearly 80% of the memebers have not received any intimation of the elections. Responding to my call to the members as contained in my e-mail two more members have come forward and have unequivocally confirmed non receipt of any intimation of elections. I sincerely appreciate that. A number of members called up the Election Officer Mr. Amit Kumar, Election Officer to lodge their protest. I also appreciate that.

3. The placing of UPC list by the Secretary as a proof of sending of the intimation to members is a poor response to the members' expectations from an efficient office of the Society. As a matter of fact it places the role of the secretary in cloud. The partisan role gets accentuated by the continued rearrangement of the seniority list of the members to block well meaning members from participating in the affairs of the society and to give it a new meaning and direction. I do understand the fears the outgoing members may have but would like to allay those fears in any constructive discussion that we may have.

4. Responding to the Rajbir Singh's request, I managed to get names of the nominated candidates who are 'aspirants' for the position of member of the MC. They are:
a) Mr. Amarjit Singh Telephone No. 98-101-03171
b) Mr. Ajay Jasinghani Telephone No. 98-112-12389
c) Mr. Shyam Joneja Telephone No. 99-996-30388
d) Mr. Ashok Sharma
e) Mrs. Renu Kumar
Mr. Vipin Kumar was unable to give me the Telephone Nos. of the candidates listed at d) and e) above. I have been in touch with Mr. Amarjit Singh over the last two days and despite my differences over the process of his nomination found him to be receptive to the concerns of the well meaning members. I sincerely appreciate that and would certainly recommend that any form of composition of MC could benefit from his competence. His proximity to Sector 30 would be an added advantage.

I shall certainly like to know from the concerned aspirants as to how they would like to address the long standing concerns and aspirations of the members and so would
other members who are following the developments.

5. The Society is yet to respond to my request of forwarding a Final list of members eligible for voting in the election scheduled for 28th February, 2009 and once again call upon the Secretary Mr. Vipin Kumar to respond to our request. May be some member can help me in convincing Mr. Vipin Kumar.

Shall keep you updated

UPDATE ON KRISHNA ELECTIONS

Dear Fellow Members

It has rightly been highlighted by Mr. Manoj Gupta that we have been taken by surprise and might have to pay a heavy cost for our inaction and all right meaning members should come forward to wake up others from slumber. My request to all of you would be to take interest in your own affairs and protect your interest so as to prevent others from taking interest in your property and to prevent themselves from working even harder at a later date.

More members have come forward to confirm that they have not received any intimation of the elections, though one member has confirmed that he received an intimation but has simultaneously confirmed that the intimation reached him well past the date of withdrawal of nominations. Importantly, there is no rebuttal from the Society or any of the past office bearers. The e-mail was also endorsed to the candidates who have offered themselves for election.

Some of the members took the trouble of calling up the Election officer Mr. Amit Kumar (98-919-09621) and lodged their protest.

Me and one of the candidates who has filed nomination papers are in discussion with each other and I appreciate that he has understood my and other members concerns. I only wish that people who have been instrumental in denying the members their basic right of electing the MC members could think on the same lines. Well, the concerned Gentleman has some solutions to offer and we are in discussion to find a mutually acceptable solution. Shall keep you updated of the developments.

I would request the Society office bearers to publish a list of members on their website or circulate the same on e-mail so that members could know who is to be "elected" from their ward. Also it would be desirable that the names and Phone Nos of the candidates with brief particulars/CV are circulated to the members.

As in the past this e-mail is being simultaneously posted on http://krishnasociety.blogspot.com/ so that you could track all e-mails at one location.

You could even search the blog on http://www.google.co.in/

Dear Fellow members

Few interesting facts have come to light which I wish to share with you.

1. I called up the Election Officer Mr. Amit Kumar (98-919-09621) and  he shared with me that the Society has represented to the Election officer that the intimation of the elections was sent to the members under Certificate of Posting (UPC).

This is strange since just a few days back the Society sent demand notices for 12,000 by courier and just few days later the election intimation is sent under UPC.

You can draw logical inferences as did I

2. In response to my e-mail of 24th February, 2009 I have received 11 (Eleven) mails in response in addition to an additional 4-5 phone calls. Each of the e-mails and phone calls confirmed that NO ONE RECD AN INTIMATION OF ELECTIONS. Not even a single e-mail confirming that intimation was recd.

3. In response to a phone call made by me, the Hon'ble member who has filed his nomination papers, however, confirmed that he recd the election schedule under certificate of posting.

4. Clearly, the intimation was sent, if at all, to only those members who have filed their nomination papers and none at all to the members who agitated in previous two attempts to have elections conducted in an impartial manner.

4. The Society has often claimed that it is internet savy. It did allotment of plots by conducting a computerised draw available live on internet by engaging a software expert. It claims to have a website www.grnoida.co.nr. Login: Krishna, password: password. YET IT DID NOT E-MAIL THE MEMBERS ELECTION SCHEDULE ON E-MAIL.

5. There is no official word from the society office bearers. My efforts to reach them were in vain. The following Phone calls were made:
     a) I called up Mr. R.K. Verma, administrator of the Society on 24.02.2009 at 9.47 A.M., 9.50 A.M., 10.03 A.M. and  10.04 A.M. at Telephone No. 99714115587
     b) I called up Mr. Vipin Kumar on 24.02.2009 at 9.54 A.M. - Telephone No. 9891237732 - The telephone was not picked up and the call was not returned till this evening.

6. Under the circumstances, I doubt whether the Elections could be termed fair, transparent or in conformity with due process of law. In fact as one member has put it could they be called elections at all, since it is not clear who is electing whom. Have you even seen a case whether a person can elect himself?

Shall keep you updated
