Response to mail from Mr. Amarjit Singh

Dear Fellow Members

I have to thank Mr. Amarjit Singh for bringing a smile in these recession hit times. The contents of his mail left me rather amused. The formation of this MC is contentious and is subject to legal scrutiny. In this backdrop Mr. Amarjit Singh's insistence on compliance of legalities is a subject matter of debate.

I am in full agreement that we should comply with the laws of the Land. But my disagreement with Mr. Amarjit Singh is that we should not merely comply with the law of the land when it suits us and do not give it a go by when it does not suit us.

It is the law of  the Land that once a person has resigned and his resignation has been accepted, he ceases to hold office. Mr. Ajay Jaisinghani resigned citing personal reasons. His resignation was accepted. I have document to that effect. Now Mr. Amarjit Singh wishes to retain him by not accepting his resignation. I would suggest him to seek a legal opinion on it.

Mr. Amarjit Singh's mail needs a greater scrutiny and debate but to start with, I noticed his appeal. I also noticed that as per his own admission 65 members have NOT PAID. Is that  not a proof enough of the members reflecting their lack of confidence in the MC. Is that not their way of telling that you are not our elected representatives? Is that not their way of telling that you do not represent us?

I am afraid I have to leave for a meeting and shall write more later.

Meanwhile I will request all members to write back and put forward their views.

Regards
